Gas stations in Montenegro Warned: illegal catering services during pandemic

National Coordination Body warns gas stations: providing catering services will result in closure of facilities and criminal charges

The National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases, analyzing the consistency and effects of implementing the measures adopted, found that many gas stations continued to provide catering services (coffee vending machines, standings bars, etc.) and thus encouraged gathering of citizens, contrary to the measures adopted.
Due to the fact that this is a phenomenon that carries a high risk of spreading the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the competent inspection services were urgently ordered to check the actual situation at all gas stations and to immediately issue an order for station closure where violations occur, as well as to revoke a work permit.

The National Coordination Body warns all gas station owners and responsible persons that a violation of the measures is subject to criminal liability and insists that the competent authorities severely sanction the violation of each measure.

We should recall that recently the police had a lot of work to do because of the ban on catering facilities. Gas stations, by all accounts, have long since ceased to deal exclusively with the sale of oil and petroleum products, but at the same time there are also cafes, bistros and mini-shops operating 24/7, including Sundays.
