Government of Montenegro submits document on activities to cope with COVID-19 pandemic to Parliament

The Government of Montenegro submitted to the Parliament the document “Responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic” – material for the preparation of MPs to discuss the first item on the agenda of the second sitting of the first regular (spring) session in 2020, on Wednesday, 22 April, starting at 11 a.m.
In the document – Information on the activities undertaken so far to cope with the COVID – 19 epidemic, of 80 pages, the Government presented the activities and measures taken to protect the health and lives of citizens from infection with the novel coronavirus.
The document provide details on the work of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases through the work of all operational staffs, the Public Health Institute, the Crisis Medical Staff, the Ministry of Health, the Police Directorate and the Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro.
The Government also makes the document available for the Montenegrin public.

The representatives of the Government who will participate in the work of the Parliament, when considering this information, are Milutin Simović, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and President of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases and Kenan Hrapović, Minister of Health and Deputy Chairman of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases.
The Government recommends to the Parliament of Montenegro, when considering Information on the activities undertaken so far to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic, to invite: Dragica Sekulić, Minister of Economy and Head of the Operational Staff for support to the economy during the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Mevludin Nuhodžić, Minister of the Interior, Darko Radunović, Minister of Finance, prof. Dr Boban Mugoša, Director of the Public Health Institute of Montenegro, prof. Dr Ranko Lazović, Head of the Centre for Digestive Surgery of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro and Head of the Crisis Medical Staff, prof. Dr Vesna Miranović, Director General of the Directorate for Quality Control of Health Care and Human Resources Improvement in Health Care at the Ministry of Health and Head of the Operational Staff for coordination of measures to prevent the coronavirus and Dragan Pejanović, State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior and Head of the Operational Staff for the return of Montenegrin nationals from abroad.
