Historical objects of the Kingdom of Montenegro donated to Montenegro

The Montenegrin Cabinet passed the Information on ceding the donation of American citizen Lori Šoć to the National Museum of Montenegro. American citizen Lori Šoć, wife of great-grandson of Dr. Pero Šoć, the Prime Minister of the Montenegrin Kingdom Government in Exile and great-great grandchild of Đuro Šoć, military commander and warden of the military telegraph of the Principality of Montenegro and the Kingdom of Montenegro, donated items related to prominent Montenegrin personalities of Dr. Pero Šoć and Đuro Šoć.

 

 

 

Among the 14 items are: a framed flag with a cross and the inscription Nicholas I, three collections of decorations with ribbons and boxes, a telegram from King Nicholas I sent in 1915 to Djuro Soc, several photographs … The Government of Montenegro instructed the National Museum to take the gift and provide conditions for its keeping.

Američka državljanka Lori Šoć, supruga praunuka dr Pera Šoća, ministra crnogorske Vlade u izbjeglištvu i čukununuka Đura Šoća, vojnog komandanta i upravnika vojnog telegrafa Knjaževine i Kraljevine Crne Gore poklonila je Crnoj Gori predmete koji se odnose na istaknute crnogorske ličnosti dr Pera Šoća i Đura Šoća. Među 14 predmeta iz zaostavštine dr Pera Šoća i Đura Šoća koji su po želji vlasnice predati početkom godine državi Crnoj Gori bez nadoknade nalaze se: uramljena zastava sa krstom i natpisom Nikola I, tri kolekcije ordenja sa lentama i kutijama, telegram kralja Nikole I Petrovića upućen Đuru Šoću iz 1915. godine i više fotografija. Vlada je zadužila Narodni muzej Crne Gore da preuzme doniranu zaostavštinu i obezbijedi uslove za njeno čuvanje. . . . #narodnimuzejcrnegore #nmcg @vlada_cg
