Montenegro: Operational Programme for Education, Employment and Social Policies sector (2015-2017)

Podgorica, Montenegro: In organisation of Montenegrin Ministry of Work and Social Welfare, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations and with help of Capacity Development Programme (CDP) Operational Programme for Education, Employment and Social Policies sector (2015-2017) public consultation was held.

The Meeting was opened by Head EU Chief Negotiator for negotiations over Montenegro’s accession to the European Union Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic. Pejovic expressed the importance of Operational Programme, especially in the field of recent fulfilling of preconditions for indirect management of  IV component funds – Development of Human Resources, within which will be allocated 6.5 million euros. He stressed that in this field numerous reforming processes were supported for quality continuation of EU negotiations, and successful projects within IPA I were realised. Pejovic highlighted that European Commission has opted 28.1 million EUR and, following that, Operational Programme was drafted. The goals of programme are creating new jobs, improvement of quality of formal, informal and lifelong learning, with social inclusion of persons with less opportunities and decrease of poverty risk.

Depulty of Minister of Work and Social Welfare Vladimir Radovanic added that working group of the Sector has high level of responsibility  for the quality of Operational Programme in the issues of defining the right goals, actions and activities, as well as in the issue of clearness and concision in all the segments of Programme contents.

MEP had its representatives at this event. Adoptation of Sectoral Operational Programme is expected by the end of 2015.
