Prime Minister Marković meets with EU top officials in Brussels

Prime Minister Duško Marković pays an official visit to the institutions of the European Union in Brussels today.
The first official meetings, following the establishment of a new convocation in the European institutions and after the German assumption of the presidency of the Council of the European Union, are aimed at intensifying the process of accession negotiations with Montenegro.
The visit of Prime Minister Duško Marković is an opportunity for affirmation and further promotion of the results that Montenegro, as the only candidate country for membership in the European Union with all negotiation chapters open, has achieved on its path to the European integration. In this regard, the importance of continuing to maintain the enlargement policy high on the EU agenda and the principle of respecting individual merits in fulfilling the obligations arising from the European integration, will be emphasized.
The Prime Minister will meet with President of the European Council Charles Michel, President of the European Parliament David Sassoli, Vice President of the European Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles and EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi.
