Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković formed today a working group to prepare proposals for a new package of measures to support Montenegrin economy, entrepreneurs and citizens in dealing with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The meeting of Government economic departments concluded that the state authorities and the Montenegrin health system have so far successfully resisted the coronavirus pandemic, that saving the health and lives of citizens is still a priority, but that processes to respond to the economic aspect of the pandemic need to be initiated now. The aim of the measures is to provide support to the economy and entrepreneurs to protect their resources, employees and business. It was concluded that the proposals of the Working Group should be formulated within 5-7 days. Before being adopted by the Government, the proposals should be considered in dialogue with the social partners in accordance with the strategic policy of the Government to harmonise all economic policies through partnership dialogue. President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro Vlastimir Golubović, Secretary General of the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro Refik Bojadžić and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment and Development Fund Zoran Vukčević took part in the meeting.
